Airbrushed mural
for massage spa. Measures 19' X 7'. The mural is meant to
create a relaxing, peaceful, and sensual atmosphere for meditating.
The three Junk ships sailing off into the mist and unknown
express divinity and connecting to the spiritual realm, as
well as releasing negative energy. Water represents calmness,
purity and healing. The mountains and stones add an ancient
and spiritual quality, as well as strength and stability.
The three Koi fish represent persistence and non-conformity.
The orange/red in the ships and fish represent the sacral
chakra of the physical plane. And the lady bathing is cleansing
of the spirit and naturalness. The
Japanese revere nature and how it ties so completely to
the spiritual realm. The four elements are earth, fire,
water, and air. Earth, water and air are obvious, but even
fire is subtly represented by the volcano (Mount Fuji) and
the color orange. The mural also combines the serene scene
with humanity and nature. It shows the balance between us
and how we really are one together, united symbiotically.
The mural represents manifestation of spirit into the physical
plane. It represents the raw force of nature, but also the
exquisite beauty of nature, too. |
